A few weeks ago I was suffering from such a horrendous break out that I felt as though I was back in high school. I’m talking 4-6 blemishes, all at once and everywhere on my face. I had recently finished trying a new skin care routine and was sure that the new products + some dietary and hormonal changes were the culprits. Anyways, I immediately began scrambling to get this under control and to my surprise found the answer in the skincare aisle at the Marshall’s in the financial district.
Amongst all the knocked down, name brand products, a large bottle of Rosehip Oil caught my eye. I personally had never tried Rosehip Oil but knew that I had heard great things, and without thinking about it too much threw it in my cart and headed for the check out. It wasn’t until the next night that I realized how incredible this oil really was.
I have combination skin, but prefer to bulk up on face oil at night for added moisture. I started using it as the last step in my nighttime skincare routine and woke up unable to believe my eyes. It appeared as though literally overnight my skin tone had evened out, redness had subsided and the scars from my recent blemishes had faded significantly. I continued using the Rosehip and within a few days my skin had cleared up completely, even looking better before that dreaded breakout. These results prompted me to do some research on the magic inside this oil. I found that my results were pretty normal considering Rosehip Oil contains tons of wonderful vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. In turn these beauties work to provide your skin with moisture, anti-aging defense, a brighter appearance, a more even skin tone, faded scars or dark spots and even a firmer looking complexion. If you’re interested in giving this a try for yourself I went with the brand Pearlessence and snagged my Rosehip Oil for $5.99! There’s a ton of different brands out there but if you’re interested in giving this specific one a try I also found that Pearlessence is sold online here, here and even here. It’s not a brand I’ve tried before but after my experience with this product I’m excited to check out the rest of their line. If you’ve used or currently use Rosehip Oil in your routine, I’d love to hear how it works for you!
