Ah, Disney Food & Wine Festival. This is literally one of my favorite things to look forward to in October for a number of reasons. For starters, I’ve been going to Disney with my family since I was a toddler so it’s v nostalgic for me and secondly, its in the name – food & wine.
The Food & Wine Festival takes place every year around Epcot’s World Showcase and includes over 30 marketplace booths, which offer food and wine samplings from countries all over the world. The idea is that you’re given a “passport” that has menus for each booth and once you’ve sampled something from that country you essentially mark it off in your booklet. Now this was my second time going to F&W and I have to say that I just did not. stop. eating. But that’s kind of the point right? For a full list of everything we tasted and tried, peep all that goodness below ↓

Now, I must say that it was some of the hottest weather I’ve ever experienced and was a literal puddle by mid afternoon. However – drinking “around the world” definitely helped cool everyone down and get our minds off the near triple digit humidity. If you’re able to survive the heat, another kewl thing about Disney in October is sticking around for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This kid friendly Halloween party essentially takes over Magic Kingdom after hours and is hosted by Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, need I say more? And to make things a lil’ sweeter there’s tons of spots around the park to get down on trick-or-treating, which made it v easy to go back to the hotel with 10 lbs of candy. (Which may or may not have happened..) Given its been a few weeks since I’ve been back in New York and my sunburn and sweet tooth have faded, I’m already looking forward to next year.
xx
